I'm knee deep in soccer right now, as we just spent an entire weekend down in Rochester for a tournament (we got 2nd place!) and Aves has four games this week plus another tourney next weekend. But no worries! I am on the sidelines and chillin' in the hotel room happily devouring V.S. Naipaul's A House for Mr Biswas. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this book. I feel a good review comin' on!

ReplyDeleteI spent all of the opening weekend of the World Cup glued to the TV....Tim Howard, the American GK, is my ultimate fave. I really love watching professional soccer, especially after years of watching my daughter play. We go up to Blaine and watch the semi-professional MN Stars every once in a while and it is so fun. It is such a graceful game; I don't see what other people don't see about it :) Unfortunately I work during the week 8-5 so I miss a lot of the morning weekday games, but we have the Fox Soccer Channel so hopefully there will be some replays once the Cup is over!!!
